Camp!

Since I last blogged things have gone from very easy going to suprisingly busy! It's a good change though, my job at Scott Pararble's is going great and i look to officially start at the Church in a week. Since my last blog i've gone to two camps.

First off was Northern Pentecostal Family Camp. This was the camp that i had grown up attending while living in Thompson. I was a little weary about going back becuz as many of you know i attended Church from the ages 13-16ish and then kinda just quit. I haven't really been back to a family camp up there since, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but praise God i had an awesome time. I find it's always during camp season that God recharges my batteries. Bill Carruthers was the speaker and i found a lot of his messages very encouraging and challenging. I was out there for 4 days and me being such an introvert/extorvert depending on the day lol, spent a day at the beach and the rest of my time reading. It was good though it prepared me for the week that was to come. I got to meet some cool people, and it was fun!

Which brings me to week 2 which was NPYC, in other words youth camp. Now heading into this week i must admit regretfully that my expectations weren't raised overly on the high side. But that's the awesome thing when God just blows you away. This week was awesome. It was amazing How God worked in the lives of our youth. I've never seen such passion and hunger in our youth and i was really blessed to be able to speak to and pray with our youth. Pastor Shane Acorn was our speaker during the evenings and i thought he was very receptive to the Spirit and i commend him for his messages and obedience. This whole week was very much needed for the year upcoming at M:180 youth and i am very excited to see what God does in the lives of the youth this year!

And now i am back in Saskatoon, and going off to Cumberland House next week for a week ministry trip with a few people from Lawson. I don't know what the week will bring or what my role is lol. All i was told was we are leaving on wednesday and bring some sermons. So i'll do just that. Anyhow wanted to update for anyone who still reads this. Please Pray for us as we go to Cumberland. I'm optimistic about this trip. I'm thinking i'm going to become a more commited blogger again. Not so much about life but about issues and things that i'm thinking. Maybe more rants than blogs but we will see lol. I hope everyone is having a great summer. I know i am but am watching it pass by all too quickly.
