Life is Good!

So I am officailly going to be a blogger again. I've been here before and must admit that I was the worst excuse for bloggers period...in fact you could say i was a disgrace to blogging. There now that i got that all out, and feel all relieved lol, Life is good!!! It's been going really good lately, I guess that reading break was a little re-energizer for me. I can't believe that I only have 2 months of school left and then i graduate. It's going to fly too, but ya gonna finish sometime. For the future who knows where I'll be, but i trust God knows and that his calling He gave me to preach when i was younger is just as true today as it was then.

First off, Canada just lost in the olympics today. I couldn't believe it when i came home and seen 4 mins left with the russians being up 1-0. I think Canada has for so long won the gold, that to lose is just plain out of character and i bet a lot of people are as shocked as me. On the bright side though they lost to a good team and my boy "Alexander Ovechkin" scored the winner, so it wasn't all terrible. (Those Canadian fans who are wanting to smack me right now, i'm sorry).

On another interesting note, i got to visit a funeral home today in Pastoral Theology class. I must say my respect for these funeral planners has gone up big time. I cannot believe the amount of work they have to put into their profession. They are always on the go and the guy who taught us today was cool and down to earth. He shared from his life and you could tell he cared for people. It was an interesting experience to say the least. It was one of those experiences where you see death as a reality. On a personal level it really made me stop and wonder how my existence is contributing to the greater good of the final prize of eternity.

I can write forever here, but i'll comment finally on my reading week break. Now as far as college stuff, i took a break from it all and just tried to enjoy the good times. But while i was at home i got to see some old friends, see the dentist who gave me a lot of fillings and really got away from a lot, to spend a lot of time focusing on my walk with God. I started reading a book, titled "A call to die", written by David Nasser. For those of you who don't know who David Nasser is, check out his web site on my links. He's a great communicator of the word and I seen him at Breakforth in Edmonton last year. He's also going to be the speaker at YC Manitoba in May for those who live in that area. Anyhow, this book calls you to fast from something of the world, to FEAST on God. It is a 40 day devotional, that has 5-6 pages of devotional each day, some meditation questions, some Bible Verses to read and pray with and scriptures to memorize. It is NOT your average quick 5 minute read, but it requires at least a MINIMUM of 1 hour a day. This book is packed with life changing truths and i can already feel how i'm being drawn closer to God and my identity has been shaken, it is now fully found in Him and it's been awesome. For some they learn this truth right away, but for me i've fought with that for years and i finally feel peace and freedom as i walk and God works through me. There's just something about Revelation that comes from God, it's as clear as can be! No Striving!!! It's not about doing, it's about being and doing will come naturally out of our character found in Christ! I know a bunch of people from school are planning on going through this book this spring and i HIGHLY recommend you all check out this book and just die to self to be more like Him. It's been only 1 week, but it's been a little adventure, I pray it only gets better.

Anyhow thanks to anyone who is still reading or who has read, i promise to be a better blogger this time. I hope everything with y'all is going well and just an encouragment to finish strong to all college buddies. By the way a big thanks to my awesome girlfriend Nicole for designing this and many other blogs lol, Thanx!!! Later!
